This is just bare-bones for now. It’s meant to preserve the great fan content and make it easy for people to find and download. Each expansion downloads exactly as I found it. Many from a previous attempt at something like this called Neil’s Curiosity Shop (NCS). As I clean them up, I’ll add new links. I’m still updating things, although slowly (current December 2022). I started my PhD this fall, so I’ve been busy with that. Also, check out my personal page, if you so desire, for unrelated (and currently upcoming) free and paid content. Plus, I offer tutoring, web/software dev and data analytic services there. I’d say a little self-promotion is fair after setting this up for y’all, right?

8 Thematic Investigators

A set of neat investigators that can easily be integrated into your game. Created by Soakman.

16 Custom Investigators

The name says it all! I may pack these with some miscellaneous Ancients Ones or heralds later. Created by Chris Thibodeau.

Advanced Player’s League

A series of scenarios, which incorporate fan-made heralds and Ancient Ones, to add some fresh challenge to your game. Posted here by Julia (Scarlet Witch). Created by Avi_dreader, proofread by Hugues Joneaux. Credits to them and plus their content contributors: Admiral142, Amikezor, Dark Jco, Indio, Rovdjuret, Tiborvadovan and Veet. Now updated with stories for the investigators and battle cards for the AO’s, plus the usual print files.

Arkham Nightmare

One of two expansions focused on the Dreamlands, this one created by Michael Hunter. The version here has some additions by Jacob Busby at Neil’s Curiosity Shop.

Buffy Stuff

I found quite a bit of the Buffy content from before. Most of it came from Fictive Fantasies or was extracted for KaosWarMonk’s TTS mod. So much was low-res, that I ended up having to recreate most of it and made a lot of changes. Most noticeably, I added drawn art, mostly from the comics, to the allies and investigators. I always thought the live action photos looked weird mixed in with the stock investigators. Beyond that, there was a lot of modification on the effects and stats. If you prefer the originals, they are in the backup directory. I didn’t touch the ancient ones yet, maybe later. They are not included in the duplex print file. I did leave the eon files if anyone wants to do their own tweaks.

Colour Out of Space

A mostly finished expansion found on BBG, created by a user under the tag shawnhakl. Inspired by its namesake, it seems fully playable in its current form and includes quite bit of content.. The last update was early 2017, so this may very well be as far as it goes.

Cult of the Golden Scarab

The first of Tim Wilkington-Lewis’s expansions, Golden Scarab builds on the theme set in Curse of the Dark Pharaoh. Plenty of new content, including new exhibit items and mechanics.

Door to Saturn

The second of Tim Wilkington-Lewis’s expansions, the Door to Saturn is a modular set that lets you take expeditions to exotic locales, like Antarctica and Mars. The original set had four expedition locations and the set here includes an Africa expedition added by Jacob Busby from Neil’s Curiosity Shop.

Dreamlands

The other expansion based around the Dreamlands, and one of the most content dense sets out there. Originally created by Tomschwag at BBG. After the links went down, all that seemed to be left were low-res photobucket images. KaosWarMonk recreated them before they were lost for good.

Essential Saltes

A small set based on The Case of Charles Dexter Ward, created by Brett DeWald. Front/back print file added. This file has recreated versions of the monster and ‘board,’ as the originals were low quality and the board was weirdly sized.

Download link

Gilman Memorial Exhibit

A small sample from Chris Jennings, the creator of Strange Eons. Currently just the SE project. Until I get to exporting them myself, you will need to use Strange Eons to create printable copies.

Lovecraft Country Horror

A big expansion that includes some new areas from the Miskatonic Valley. Created by Jacob Busby.

Download Link

Lurking Fear

Another set from Shawnhakl at BBG. Inspired by the Lovecraft story of the same name. Duplex print file added.

Download link

Masks of Nyarlathotep

A large set based on the campaign of the same name from the Call of Cthulhu role-playing game. Created by Eli Margolese-Malin. This one was tough to find. Thanks to Julia (Scarlet Witch) at BBG for getting it to me. Duplex print file added.

Merky’s Ancient Ones

A collection of thematic Ancient Ones created by a user named Merky over at the FFG forums. The versions here are the latest one I got directly from the creator.

Download link

Miskatonic Museum

This small set adds the Museum as location that impacts overall gameplay and is loosely based on Elder Sign. I haven’t been able to figure out who created it yet. I’ve added a print file with the images carefully sized and positioned for two-sided printing.

Mountains of Madness

Another set created by Tomschwag and put up on BBG. This one isn’t near as heavy as Dreamlands. Like Dreamlands, it was reconstructed (sans the investigators, sadly) by KaosWarMonk. Now compiled into print files.

Bundle Plus Promos

This Bundle includes 8 investigators, 4 Ancient Ones, 4 Heralds, and 4 Guardians from various sources (some recreated with PS or EB cards added), the 2 sets of Summer League Scenarios (2008 & 2009), and all the recreated promotional content mentioned below.

Promotional Content

This includes recreations of the official promo cards by Chris Thibodeau, as well as his original sinister plot cards for Daoloth. The Calvin Wright cards were upgraded with a back face and marker by TragicTheBlathering at BBG.

Rats in the Walls

Another set by Shawnhakl, posted at BBG. Based on the story of the same name. Now cleaned up and with a onesheet.

South Seas Tales

Another from Shawnhakl, posted here. Based on “The Shadow over Innsmouth.” This version is actually updated and improved on from the more common versions I’ve seen elsewhere.

Supernatural Stuff

I’ve spotted the occasional Supernatural fan piece here and there, but I was never really satisfied with them. So, I made a bunch of stuff. Mostly investigators and their goodies (sorry no AO’s yet). If you’ve wondered how the Mark-charged First Blade would fare against an AO, take a look. I did the same thing with the art style here as in the Buffy set. That is, I used mostly drawn art from around the web, since I don’t think photos mesh well with the drawn art vanilla components. I haven’t playtested it yet and there’s some pretty big moves to be made (alternate victory conditions, potent weapons, etc.), so user beware. I’ll update as needed when I test them out. I may also eventually add more content like AO’s, monsters, and mythos. I need to rewatch the show and plan from there. I also included the 10 plagues herald found on NCS, just because. Feedback welcome.

The Antarctic Expedition

Another set based on At the Mountains of Madness, this one is very lightweight and easy to set up. According to NCS, it was created by chp mmttn and later updated by Raymond Darby.

The Gilman Bundle

This is a print file containing bits from several other works that I bundled together to print as a pseudo-expansion. They aren’t necessarily related, more of just a compilation so you don’t have to piecemeal it together. It contains the Gilman Memorial Exhibit, 16 custom investigators by Chris Thibodeau, Session 1 of the Spanish Arkham league, Merky’s ancient ones (plus I added plots and a few scattered tweaks). It also contains a handful of guardians, heralds, and other ancient ones of unknown origin that I found on the now removed forums on Fantasy Flights page. I also added or tweaked things with some of these miscellany as well.

The Horror at Red Hook

The last from Shawnhakl, posted here. Based on the story of the same name.

Download link

Vermont Horror

A large set created by Hal Eccles. Mainly based on The Whisperer in Darkness and the Mi-Go mining activity, but contains references to other mythos. This download also contains files for the deluxe edition that links up with Lovecraft Country Horror.

Miscellany

Right now this is just two neat investigators I pulled from NCS. I’ll probably add to this in the future.

Planned Additions and Self-Promotion

I am also recreating the two big-box expansions I was working on when my HDD died bloody. I’ll add some samples here as I get them done. Until then, a short intro to each and some shameless self-promotion:

The first was Arkham New Aeon. Set more in the present day with a New Age Vibe, this one will feature using various methods(drugs, meditation, extradimensional contact, etc.) to achieve higher states of consciousness to resist the Ancient One, enhance spells, and more. It also has Christian, Kabbalah and Norse themes. The new board includes an upscale district, and tech-oriented district (which includes a new way to acquire the Scientific Items from here and Door to Saturn), and the Arkham Slums.

The second was Fairy Kingdom. The name is a giveaway, though it contains the rest of the Norse-themed content. Signs of fairy activity start turning up around Arkham, foretelling unknown plots (good or bad). Investigating these may find you a door to the realm of Faerie. Journey here to discover the plot and acquire special items (some of which are fairy pranks). The Faerie Board is ruled by the Season and Day/Night.

As I said in the opening paragraph, my personal site has details on unrelated goodies that I plan on making. Basically, for and non-profit nerd content, mostly games and rpg settings. My paid services are available though. Science and Math tutoring, web and software development, and data analytics. Have a look if you need any of that.
